Chayote (Sechium edule) is a familiar vegetable for Indonesian people. It is widely known as labu jipang (Jawa Tengah), manisah (Jawa Timur), and waluh siam (Jawa Barat) and considered as a healthy vegetable which can be consumed daily as salad, sayur lodeh (vegetables in coconut milk soup), oseng-oseng (stir-fry) or sayur asam (indonesian tamarind dish).

Seniors students of Biology Study Program joined an excursion program for turtleconservation at Turtle Education and Conservation Center (TCEC) in Serangan, Denpasar, Bali. TCEC is a conservation area initiated by several environmental conservation activists in Bali, WWf, and Bali Provincial Government.

The Biology Study Program Students Observed Grey Monkeys at West Bali National Park

The grey monkey behavior observation was conducted by Biology Study Program students at West Bali National Park (WBNP). They are Fitriana, Siti Ismawati, and Nanik Ismiyani under the supervision of dr. Tutiek Rahayu, M.Kes., Tri Atmanto, M.Si., and Paramita C.K., M.Sc. The observation, which was around sapodilla trees, ranged from 08.20 – 1.00 a.m.
